Molchanovs Wave 2

Advanced Freediving

Now that you are familiar with the basics and experienced with the sensations of pressure and breath-holding, we are going to take things a little deeper while refining your equalization and freediving skills. You will learn to use negative buoyancy and freefall to optimize oxygen and energy consumption and take your no fins skills to the vertical axis. In Wave 2, you will master the skills and knowledge to comfortably dive to a depth between 24-30 meters and continue to train with Base Training 2.

Prerequisites

  • Wave 1 or crossover evaluation 

  • Medical & Liability Release forms signed

  • 4 Days

  • 4 Open Water Sessions

  • 2 Pool Sessions

  • Theory & Dry Workshops

Requirements

  • STA - Complete a static breath hold of minimum 2'30".

  • DYNB - Complete a 50 meter horizontal swim with bifins.

  • DNF - Complete a 35 meter horizontal swim without fins.

  • CWTB - Dive to minimum 24 meters with bifins.

  • FIM - Dive to minimum 24 meters by pulling the rope.

  • CNF - Dive to 15 meters without fins.

  • Buddy a freediver to a depth between 10 to 15 meters

  • Rescue a freediver from a depth of 15 meters.
