Molchanovs Wave 1
If you decided to become a freediver, this beginner course will teach you all the knowledge and skills to build a solid foundation and will take you to a depth between 12-20 meters in a comfortable and safe manner. You will also be introduced to the no-fin technique which only is offered by Molchanovs as part of student courses. Intended for those who have never tried freediving or have experience and want to improve their breath hold time or dives, Wave 1 is where your freediving journey begins and continues upon successful completion with online Base Training.

Dry & Theory Sessions
STA - Complete a static breath hold of minimum 1'30".
DYNB - Complete a 30 meter horizontal swim with bifins.
CWTB - Dive to minimum 12 meters with bifins.
FIM - Dive to minimum 12 meters by pulling the rope.
Buddy a freediver to a depth between 6 to 10 meters
Rescue a freediver from a depth of 6 to 10 meters.

Laws of physics related to freediving.
Effects of breath hold and the underwater environment on the human body.
Techniques to prepare the mind and body to slow down metabolic processes and oxygen consumption.
Introduction to a variety of techniques, pros and cons, anatomy of equalization.
Techniques to prepare for a breath hold and recover oxygen debt.
How to identify, avoid and respond to risks related to hypoxia and pressure.
How to choose, use and maintain basic freediving equipment.
